Medically proven itch relief
To relieve itching & pain, the affected area of skin is briefly heated to around 51 °C. By applying concentrated heat, you can treat insect bites reliably and easily. This chemical-free principle of local hyperthermia is medically confirmed.
We collaborated with Prof. Maurer from Charité Berlin on the clinical evaluation for certification as a medical device. The world’s most comprehensive study on the effectiveness of thermal insect bite treatments was carried out using heat it®. It demonstrates that itching can be significantly relieved within the first minute.

What causes the itch of
Itching is the body's reaction to the mosquito saliva injected during the bite. Our immune system fights back by releasing histamine. As a result, the blood vessels dilate, the bite swells and begins to itch. Heat treatment of the bite causes various endogenous reactions that can relieve itching and pain.
On a mission to end the itch
The idea for heat it® was born during a student competition in 2017. By 2019, we had become a certified medical device manufacturer with in-house development and production in Karlsruhe, Germany.
